Meet Michael Wachowiak: Co-Artistic Director and Director of It's A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play
I have loved theatre, music, and storytelling for as long as I can remember. I watched Mary Poppins and the Mary Martin Peter Pan so many times we had to buy new VHS tapes. I auditioned for The Wizard of Oz my freshman year of high school, landed the role of a munchkin, and never looked back. When it came time to look for colleges, I applied to schools both in my backyard and hundreds of miles away - but my love for my friends, family, and community kept me in the WNY area. I was so happy to attend Niagara University and join their incredible theatre program. It was at NU that my passion became a reality, and I dove headfirst into every aspect of theatre. It was also at NU that I met my other three co-founders, and created life-long friendships with all of them. After graduating I stayed in town and became apart of our incredible theatre community here in WNY. I have been able to share my love for theatre and express my passions both on and off-stage by planting my roots in my hometown more than I ever possibly could elsewhere. The depth of talent in this area is incredible, and it is only matched by the generous audiences who join us in this incredible communal experience of live, locally produced theatre. I’m so excited to bring some of that energy and passion to the Niagara Region through this exciting new theatrical venture.
